Terms and Conditions of Use

In-house On-site Legal LLC is registered in the State of Oregon, doing business as In-house On-site Legal South Carolina, Washington, and Oregon. By accessing or using this website in any way, including, without limitation, use of any of the Services, downloading of any Materials, or merely browsing the Site, you agree to and are bound by the following Terms of Use:

In-house On-site makes this website, including all information, documents, photographs, graphics, and other materials available through this website and all services operated by In-house On-site and third parties through this website, available to the general public for informational purposes only. The information on this site is not intended to convey legal opinions or legal advice. Legal cases and matters are, by their nature, very fact specific. Each case is decided according to its facts. No one should act upon the information contained in this site without first consulting with a competent attorney, duly licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.

Viewing this web site or contacting In-house On-site via email, telephone, or other means does not create an attorney/client relationship. An attorney/client relationship can only be established after a conflict of interest evaluation is completed, an initial consultation has been conducted, your matter is accepted, and a retainer agreement is established and signed. Please note that you are not considered a client until you have signed a retainer agreement and your case has been accepted by an attorney on behalf of In-house On-site.

The In-house On-site web site may contain links to sites on the internet that are owned and operated by third parties (“External Sites”). You acknowledge that In-house On-site is not responsible for the availability of, or the content located on or through, any External Sites. In-house On-site is providing these links to you only as a convenience, and the inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by In-house On-site of the site.

Chat Feature

By answering questions on the Site's paid-to-chat-with-an-attorney feature, attorneys on In-house On-site do not intend to form, and do not form attorney-client relationships with Users of the Site. The laws, regulations, other governing authorities, standards, practices and procedures that apply to your particular question may differ depending on your location and information typically discovered through in-person evaluations or visits. Attorneys in some categories may be licensed, certified, educated, employed by or have experience in only particular jurisdictions.

No professional-client relationships shall be formed on the Site. Although In-house On-site's policy is to maintain the confidentiality of all chat transcripts, In-house On-site relies on third parties to support and implement the technology that makes the chats possible. Therefore, In-house On-site will not be responsible data breaches which occur due to the acts/omissions of third party providers of the website. Communications on this Site are limited, as described above, and do not involve in-person evaluations or visits, and do not include safeguards and procedures typical of in-person evaluations and visits. Before you can interact with an Expert, you will be required to agree to a Disclaimer reminding you of these and other important provisions of the Terms.

Pricing: The base rate at checkout pays for fifteen (15) minutes of time chatting with the attorney, and the continuing rate offered to the customer is half of the base right for an additional fifteen (15) minutes of time. These time frames are not meant to encourage a "buzzer beater" situation wherein the communication is abruptly ended by the attorney. Rather, attorneys shall continue past the fifteen (15) minutes, to the extent that the attorney, in their professional judgment, decides is necessary to ensure the user comprehends the information provided before leaving the chat. In no event shall a chat continue beyond an extra ten (10) minutes of overtime. No attorney is required to address a new and distinct legal concern which is brought up in the last five (5) minutes of time, in a way that would, in the attorney's professional judgment, circumvent the need to pay for additional time.

Satisfaction: In-house On-site Legal LLC makes no guarantees, promises, or assurances that users using the chat feature will achieve any particular outcome in their situation. Indeed, users may receive what they consider "bad news," when receiving accurate legal information. In-house On-site cannot guarantee any general, existential satisfaction for any of the site's users. In-house On-site guarantees only that users have access to a licensed attorney for the agreed upon consultation, and any additional consultation time paid for by the user.

Refunds: In the event that the chat feature fails of its essential purpose, users may be given a full refund. Refunds will not be given for general dissatisfaction. A chat session fails of its essential purpose when the user is unable to ask general questions within the allotted time frame and have them answered by a licensed attorney. In no event shall a refund be issued more than twenty-four (24) hours after the pertinent chat window has closed.
